【登壇情報】「MHMとSDGsを知ろう」

[Information] "Let's learn about MHM and SDGs"

Our representative, Douya, was on stage at the event "Let's learn about MHM and SDGs" hosted by Newbee, a general incorporated association.

The theme is "Current status of MHM issues".
MHM (menstrual hygiene management) is defined as:
“Women and adolescent girls use clean sanitary products that absorb menstrual blood, change them as often as needed during menstruation in a space that ensures privacy, wash themselves with soap and water when needed, Access to facilities for the disposal of used sanitary products” (WHO & UNICEF 2012, p.16).

In Ghana, there are many students who do not know about menstruation, and the issue is how to solve the current situation where it is difficult to obtain sanitary products.

I would like to thank Associate Professor Sugita of the Graduate School of Human Sciences, Osaka University, and all the staff for giving us the opportunity to speak with you.
